Hello readers and happy Monday to everyone! I have a review that I am beyond excited about today! As someone who owns over 50+ lipsticks, I think I have finally found lipsticks that are holy grail worthy. For more information and detailed swatches keep reading down below!

The product I am reviewing today is Urban Decay Revolution lipsticks in Naked2 and Naked. the lipsticks come in purple boxes that have the Urban Decay logo on them. The boxes are cute and jumped out at me. The boxes also have the shade color on the outside where the name of the color is printed.

Just another photo of the boxes where the shade name is printed.

The packaging of the actual lipstick:
The Urban Decay Revolution lipsticks come in a silver tube that has the UD logo on the very top. The lipstick tubes have a nice weight to them. They aren't heavy, but they don't feel cheap either. I think they look nice sitting at my battlestation. The tube DOES collect finger prints, but they aren't horribly noticeable from a distance. You can only tell when you are up close.

When you remove the caps of the tubes, you will see this above. The inside of the tubes are the traditional purple UD color. The lipsticks themselves have a round shape that some either love or hate. It can make applying the lipsticks more difficult. Lip liners should help if you are having trouble getting a clean line.

Here are swatches taken in natural lighting in the sunlight outside of where I live. You can see that the UD Revolution shades in Naked and Naked 2 have a nice shine to them. They are not glittery or sparkly, just have a sheen to them.

These swatches were also taken outside in natural lighting. The lipsticks are intensely pigmented and go on somewhat thick. They are also very creamy.

Let's see how they look on the lips!

The above shade is UD Revolution in Naked2. The photo was taken outside in natural lighting. As you can see, the lipstick goes on very smoothly and does not settle into lines.

The above shade is UD Revolution in Naked. The photo was taken outside in natural lighting. This shade also does not settle into lines.

Review:
Texture 10/10
I want to start out by saying that these lipsticks feel so nice on the lips. The UD Revolution lipsticks that I own glide on very smoothly and feel very creamy. Despite the thickness of the product, I do not find this product to feel heavy at all. I hardly can notice that I'm wearing it! The product does NOT stick to dry patches either. This is coming from someone who has incredibly dry lips.

Color Selection 10/10
Urban Decay released 22 shades in the Revolution line that range from nudes (such as Naked2) to deep reds and berries.

Comfort 9/10
These lipsticks do not dry out my lips, nor do they hydrate my lips. I don't find them to be drying, but I do wish they were slightly more hydrating. If the shades become too dry feeling, I just pop on some chapstick on top and it seems to solve any left over dry feelings.

Packing 9/10
I already discussed the sleek, silver packaging up above. I am a fan of it!

Longevity 8.5/10
The UD Revolution lipsticks are fairly long wearing. I can eat and drink without the color fading off. These lighter shades I own do not really stain, which is the only reason why I'm putting the longevity down to an 8.5. I'm sure the darker shades would be more likely to last longer. I still get several hours of wear out of both Naked2 and Naked.

The bottom line:
I am completely in love with these lipsticks! They are great shades that I can wear with a multitude of looks. The texture is creamy and the pigmentation is intense! For only $22, I would definitely purchase more shades. If you are wanting a long wearing lipstick that will not dry your lips out, look no further, Urban Decay Revolution is here!

  1. I have Naked, and while I really like it, I find it does settle a little into my lines...but I'm also way older than you and have more wrinkles. I'm still debating on whether or not I need naked2.
